Shaun + Wenai :: The Couch Potatoes Get Married

Wow! It has certainly been awhile. But I reappear with an image heavy post on the wedding of Shaun and Wenai. You might probably remember them from their engagement I shot earlier in the year, the one where we lugged a couch to various locations.

True to their personalities, their wedding had touches of all things to do with the movies. From their wedding portraits done in the style of movie posters, to clapboards, to even a popcorn and cotton candy machine!

I had

Sneaking past the new year

The last you heard of me, it was Christmas. Now we've sailed past the new year, found ourselves midway through January and I've been enjoying my little time off, maybe a little bit too much seeing that I've been reluctant to get back on the horse and into a fierce gallop.

I had a pretty good breather in Bali last week, hence the silence. A girl needs silence as much as she needs to be silent at times, you know? But I would like to report that I enjoyed myself, although most of the

A mela.de.gypsie Christmas

And just like that, Christmas 2012 is Christmas Past. But why should we even stop the celebrating? It still feels like Christmas stretches on to even until the New Year comes. I guess when Christmas leftovers start becoming last year's leftovers is when we know is the season for celebration (and excessive guilt-free gorging) should stop.

I've to say I'm pretty proud of my cards, my heart does a happy dance whenever I examine them. When I first sent them to the printer I was

Look, It's Snowing!

As much as it can in tropical Singapore. Spoiler alert: It's fake snow (figures). Although I'd have to say that silver confetti falls very prettily.

These were some of the outtakes from the last part of my postcard shoot, taken when I was going for that perfect image. Thought they all looked good together in an animated gif. I am very thankful for a good-natured model and great assistants! All-in-all, it was ultimately rewarding.

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU

Hannah :: The many faces of...

All babies are significant miracles of life, and such a precious gift to families. To her parents, Margaret and Nam Heng, baby Esther was that; a miracle, God's answer to their prayers, a gift that was made exponentially more precious through their patient waiting.

I wouldn't say that I know the complete nature of all the babies of the world, but I would like to think that I have seen my fair share of kids to say that Esther was a very easy baby to work with, she even let me carry

30 at Madnest

The end of year is nigh!!!

I usually say that with a heavy lilt of panic in my voice whenever December rolls around each year. However, things seem a little different this time round! All of my heavy backlog has been finished, which frees me to concentrate on personal projects, like figuring out how to use the new film scanner I bought this year (exciting, I know). Even my marketing postcards are nearly ready and all that is needed is to collect the printables and start the

Uyii Life :: A Lookbook Photostory

At first glance, what Uyii Bags represents seems to go against what people may view as a lucrative business in the local context. While other companies are striving to lower their bottom lines and increase their profit margins, what Uyii is more concerned with is making sure all their bags adhere to their philosophy of promoting locally handmade products.

When I first met Liping and Benny at their studio, Uyii was in the midst of their second year of operations, and their bags
